Roman Forum

Oops!  I completely forgot that I visited this yesterday as well.  It's right at the bottom of the Palatine hill.

Again, much imagination is needed, because it's really just a pile of rubble and fallen pillars now.  A few things are intact, but not a lot. 




Running down from the direction of the Colosseum (which is out of frame to the right) to the Forum square (out of frame left) is the oldest street in Rome (where the people are walking).  There is a triumphal arch which it passes through, on the Colosseum side.

The Forum Square was the meeting place, a spot to find out the latest news and generally see and be seen.
